HEAD COACH Andy Brown has tipped the Northern teams to have a strong weekend at this week’s Junior Showcase event in Sheffield with 18 Bradford Bulldogs’ players among those selected across the four age groups.
Four Bulldogs were picked for the Under-19s, six for the Under-17s and then four apiece for the Under-15s and Under-13s teams.
The four Northern teams will compete against counterparts from the Midlands, South East and South West regions across three days at Ice Sheffield, starting this Saturday when the Under-13s face-off against their Midlands counterparts at 6.30am.
“It’s great to see so many of our players get recognised for their talent and their efforts throughout this season by getting picked for the Showcase event,” said Andy.
“What’s pleasing is that we have plenty of representation at all the age groups and I know there are others who were knocking on the door to get in an came very close.
“Hopefully, other players at the club can see their team-mates getting selected and push themselves on to try and get picked for next year, or at some point in the near future.
“The squads picked generally show what a lot of talent there is coming through at all levels in the North and I expect the teams to have a strong weekend at Ice Sheffield – with all of our players playing a significant role.”
It is free entry to the event across the weekend for any Bulldogs’ fans wishing to go along and join friends and relatives support our players on what promises to be a special weekend.
