CONFIDENCE is growing for Bradford Bulldogs as they head to NIHL North Two leaders Sheffield Titans buoyed by their first win of the NIHL North Two campaign.

After picking up their first point of the season in a 10-9 defeat after a shootout against title favourites Sutton Sting, the Bulldogs went one better last weekend when they posted their first win in a 6-4 triumph at home to Deeside Dragons 2.

The victory was enough to lift the Bulldogs up to sixth in the standings ahead of their trip to Ice Sheffield this Sunday.

The Titans have enjoyed an impressive start to the season and currently sit top of the standings having won six of their eight games.

One of those wins came at Bradford’s expense at The Pound on September 21 when they headed home on the back of a convincing 13-5 victory.

The Bulldogs will be looking to exact some kind of revenge this weekend and continue their own promising turnaround in form.

Defenceman and assistant captain Ben Darbyshire said: “Being able to stay strong as a team and see the game out against Deeside shows how far we have come this season.

“It feels great to have got that first win on the board and we are looking to build on these recent performances heading into the Sheffield game.”
