Bulldogs Ball Hockey U-10s rack up the goals at Spring Qualifiers

TOP GUNS: Bradford Bulldogs’ Under-10s Ball Hockey Team

BRADFORD BULLDOGS Under-10s Ball Hockey team put up a tremendous performance at the National Spring Qualifiers at the Bench Buddy Arena in Rotherham when they finished runners-up.

Their only loss came in the final when they went down 2-1 to Stingrays Blue.

The Bulldogs started out with a 6-2 win against Nottingham Huskies, Evan Bulmer leading the way with a hat-trick of goals, with Jackson Livingstone weighing in with a double and Conor Donaghey - hist first-ever goal for the team - also getting on the scoresheet. Stevie Abdy (2) George Clarke and Finley Mardell all picked up assists. 

Next up came the team;s most dominant performance of the day when they beat Stingrays Red 9-0.

This time it was Evan Bulmer who took the lead role, blasting in four goals, with Jackson Livingstone and Stevie Abdy scoring two each and Finley Mardell also finding the net. 

Assists went to Robson Bagott (2), Finley Mardell (2) Stevie Abdy and Evan Bulmer.

Jackson’s goal - assisted by Denis Sprogis - was enough to secure a 1-1 draw against Stingrays Blue in the following game, before the Bulldogs came up with another impressive performance when they faced a combined Hull Havoc and Leeds Rams team, winning 9-1.

Scoring honours were shared between Evan Bulmer, Jackson Livingstone and Robson Bagott, who all scored twice - Robson’s double being his first goals for Bradford - with Stevie Abdy, Conor Donaghey and George Clarke grabbing one apiece. 

Assists were shared between George Clarke (2), Robson Bagott, Stevie Abdy and Finley Mardell.

In the final, Denis Sprogis was on target for the Bulldogs but they were edged out 2-1 by an impressive Stingrays Blue team

“Yet again, we proved a force to be reckoned with,” said Bulldogs’ manager, Aimee Clarke. “We scored 25 goals across five games, enjoyed three wins and pushed a very good Stingrays Blue team very close in the final.

“Conor and Robson scored their first ever competitive goals for Bradford and the whole team should be proud of themselves and what they achieved.”
