BRADFORD BULLDOGS Under-10s took to home ice for their latest X-ice outing against regular rivals Sheffield IHA, Suttong Sting IHA and Nottingham IHC.

The four teams played simultaneous games against each other at The Pound, with the whole tournament lasting around 90 minutes on Saturday, January 13.

The Bulldogs’ youngsters put in plenty of hard work against their rivals, but found it tough going as they came off second-best in each game.

After a 7-0 defeat to Nottingham, there came a 6-1 loss to Sutton, with Finley Mardell getting the Bulldogs’ marker, with Stevie Abdy bagging the assist.

Sheffield prevailed 8-0, while a second encounter with Nottingham produced a 6-0 defeat. Jackson Livingstone got the Spirit of the Game award for the hosts.

Team manager Aimee Clarke said: “ It was a very tough day for the kids against some very big kids on the other team. Coach Andy Bourke was pleased with how well the players preformed, no matter the outcome.

“The skating from all the kids is at a different level to last season.
