BRADFORD BULLDOGS’ Under-14s found it tough going when they returned to Division One North action at home against Solihull Juniors.

Despite a promising start when they went 1-0 ahead through Charlie Farrow with just 97 seconds gone, it was an uphill struggle for the remainder of the first period.

Solihull went 3-1 ahead through strikes from Cooper Pearman, Raihan Lee and Louis Insall before Thomas Taylor responded with an 11th-minute strike to make it a one-goal game again.

But the difference between the two teams was three goals by the time the first break arrived following a double-strike from Noah Bruce.

A second goal for Pearman early in the second made it 6-2 before Taylor ensured the Bulldogs remained in the game when doubling his own tally at 17.58.

Tommy Kolisek and Alfie Newell, however, beat Jacob Mardell to see the visitors go in 8-3 at the second break.

But the game got away from the hosts in the third, further goals from Solihull coming from Insall, Lee (2) Newell and Pearman as they ran out 13-3 winners.
