Bulldogs announce first charity fund-raiser game of season - in aid of Chanelle Snowden

FUNDRAISING: Chanelle Snowden was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia earlier this year.

IT’S that time of year when the Bulldogs take to the ice in a good cause once again.

Our latest charity fundraiser will be held on Sunday, November 2 when the Bulldogs take on Coventry NIHL Blaze (doors 4.45pm, face-off 5.30pm) in their latest home game of the 2025-26 NIHL North season.

It will be in aid of a local Bradford teenager suffering from an acute disease. Chanelle Snowden, from Bradford, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in February this year.

Earlier this year, Chanelle underwent daily chemotherapy, alongside other treatments for her future fertility, as well as her physical and mental health.

As a result of her illness and subsequent treatment, Chanelle has suffered hair loss, mouth ulcers, brain fog and vomiting on a regular basis, as well as seeing her immune system extremely weakened.

This has meant that her studying for a law degree in family law at Huddersfield University will not be able to continue until her immune system builds back up, while she will also be unable to work as her treatment continues.

As a result her family - her cousin Declan currently plays for our Under-19s team - are looking ro raise £15,000 to help Chanelle.

The money will be used to will be used to secure Chanelle accommodation close to her family and friends in Bradford so they are able to help with daily care, as well as cover the cost of expenses for her to undergo continued treatment and attend appointments going forward.

There will be numerous ways you can donate on the day of the game - chuck-a-puck, a raffle, collection tins and more - while the club will also be donating a percentage of the gate receipts from that day’s attendance.

In the meantime, if you want to find out more or donate NOW, head over to the Go Fund Me page set up by Chanelle’s family HERE
