Child Safeguarding: Club Policy Statement
Club staff, coaches, managers, off-ice officials and volunteers form part of the wider safeguarding system for children within our sport. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals and volunteers within our clubs should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
This Child Safeguarding policy is for all staff, committee members, coaches, managers, off-ice officials, volunteers and the ice hockey community. It forms part of the safeguarding arrangements for our Club and should be read in conjunction with the following:
