Bulldogs 2026-27 NIHL North Two League and Cup Fixtures

Today sees the release of the Bulldogs fixture schedule for the 2026-27 NIHL North Two League and Cup.

We start our campaign for the play-offs with a home derby duel against Kingston Sharks on Sunday, September 13, before hitting the road for the first time the following Saturday when we hit the long road to the SkyDome Arena to take on Coventry NIHL Blaze.

In all, we will have a total of 22 league fixtures - 11 at home and 11 away - with eight of them doubling up as North Two Cup fixtures, two each against our Group B opponents Altrincham Aces, Kingston Sharks, Sheffield Scimitars 2 and Widnes Wild 2 - a new team entering the North Two fray this year.

There is also a separate planned Challenge Cup competition planned for 2026-27 - featuring the Bulldogs, Altrincham, Coventry and Billingham Buccaneers - dates and details of which will follow soon.

Bulldogs’ player-coach Dave Williams is putting the finishing touches to his roster for the new campaign and is determined the Bulldogs make the play-offs for the first time since 2023 - especially after missing out on the last day of the regular season last time out.

“It’s always good to see the fixtures come out, then you can really start to plan for the season ahead,” said Dave.

“We’re in the process of putting pur roster together, still and I believe we’re going to be a tougher nut to crack than last year. The minimum for us has to be making the play-offs, but having the Challenge Cup added on this year, gives us a bigger chance of maybe grabbing some silverware.”
