Mike Forbes joins Bulldogs coaching team for 2026-27

Mike Forbes has become part of the Bulldogs NIHL coaching team.

Bradford Bulldogs are delighted to welcome Mike Forbes to the club as part of the new-look Bulldogs NIHL coaching team.

Linking up with player-coach Dave Williams and player-assistant coach Josh Stockton, Mike will use his many years of experience behind the bench to be the eyes and ears on game days, as well as during practice. 

Mike has previously coached at Hull Pirates and Kingston Diamonds, as well as Leeds Junior Knights and at conference and England junior level. 

On joining the Bulldogs’ coaching team, Mike said: “It’s a great opportunity to come into Bradford and try and help the team realise their potential. 

“I’m looking forward to working alongside Dave and Josh and, together, I’m confident we can get this team moving up the NIHL North Two table and make sure we make it to the play-offs.” 

Player-coach, Dave Williams, added: “It’s great to have Mike on board this season, especially someone with his experience. 

“He is exactly what we need to help move the team forward this season and continue building on what we have already put in place so far.

“He will play a key role in running the bench on game days and leading our training sessions, allowing me to focus on playing.

“His knowledge of the game & attention to detail will only have a positive impact on the team both on and off the ice. “I am really looking forward to working alongside him this season.”
