BRADFORD BULLDOGS’ player-coach Dave Williams has made his first signing in readiness for the 2025-26 NIHL National season - signing netminder Jake Lowndes.

It will be Jake’s third season with the Bulldogs, having spent the past two years on a two-way deal from North One’s Widnes Wild.

This year, Jake will be full-time with the Bulldogs.

Player-coach Dave Williams, said: "It’s great to have Jake back again with us this year, especially as it is now on a full-time basis. Last season he played some big minutes and his performances kept us in a lot of close games.

"This year, I am looking for him to step up and be more consistent. I know it will give the team confidence knowing that he is behind them."

On his return, Jake said: "I can't tell you how happy I am to be coming back for a third season. I never had a doubt about coming back to Bradford.

"I'm looking forward to helping the team win more games this season, especially with Dave as the new coach - our target has to be a play-off spot in Sheffield.

"It's such a great club, with great fans who show up every week to support us. Looking forward to seeing everybody soon!"
