AFTER making a big impression when he came over to us for a handful of appearances in 2024-25, the Bulldogs are pleased to reveal that young forward Rocco Mallon is back for 2025-26!!

Rocco made three appearances for the Bulldogs in all last time out, bagging a goal and an assist, after signing on a two-way from Leeds Knights 2 in NIHL North One and Leeds Junior Knights, where he had come through the ranks.

Rocco will remain a junior with Leeds Under-19s but will play senior hockey with the Bulldogs in NIHL North Two.

Bulldogs’ player-coach Dave Williams saw enough last season and in the recent player trials that Rocco attended to convince him that the 17-year-old was somebody we needed back on a regular basis!

Dave said: “Rocco is still young but he is a big lad and can play the body well.

“He brings a good work ethic to the team and is strong infront of goal. He will be a key contributor to the team’s goal-scoring this season.

“We are looking forward to seeing him grow and develop further with the team this season.”

Rocco added: “I’m beyond grateful to be given this opportunity this year with the Bulldogs.

“Especially a big thanks to Dave for what he’s doing with the team and having faith in me, I have every belief that this group will be one to remember.

“I’m aiming to be a crucial player in this squad and aim to use my strength and goalscoring ability to bring all I can to this team.

“Hopefully, playing alongside some of these older, experienced boys will give me crucial experience for my journey to becoming a better player - roll on 25-26!!"

All the best for the new season, Rocco - we cant wait to see you down at The Pound!
