Signing news: Jacob Brownlie standing tall again for Bulldogs

THE BULLDOGS are delighted to announce the return of defenceman Jacob Brownlie for the 2025-26 NIHL North Two season! 

Having come through the junior ranks from Under-15s onwards at The Pound, Jacob made his step up into senior hockey with the Bulldogs during the 2023-24 season.

Ever since then it has been a path of upward progression for the young right-hander, last season seeing him blossom further, bagging himself two goals and seven assists in 27 appearances - while he continued to display his willingness to stick up for his team-mates on the ice! 

Bulldogs’ player-coach Dave Williams is confident the 19-year-old blue liner will continue to improve during his third season with the team, adding: “Jacob is a reliable defenceman who reads the game very well . He works hard in all areas of the ice and remains calm under pressure. 

“He makes good decisions on the puck with ease in the defensive zone and will again provide us with a solid defence this season.”

Jacob added: “It’s always a pleasure playing for Bradford and I’m looking forward to my third year as a senior player. 

“I feel like this season is going to be a good one for us and can’t wait to get back with the boys and get it underway.”
