Jacobs Well on board as new sponsor in partnership with the Bulldogs

HOWDY PARDNER: Landlord Dan Horsman stands outside Jacobs Well - one of the city’s ioldest pubs dating back to 1830.

WE’VE been working hard over the summer to get more local businesses on board to support the Bulldogs and have a number of new sponsors to announce.

First up we want to give a huge warm welcome to Jacobs Well for joining the Bulldogs family.

Landlord Dan Horsman and some of his regulars have become regulars at home games over the last 18 months and have sponsored a number of home games and presented MVP awards and beers after several games.

We’re delighted that they have enhanced their relationship with the Bulldogs by agreeing to have their name on our brilliant new jerseys for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 season.

Jacobs Well is only a few minutes walk from The Pound and is the ideal place to stop off for a drink before or after a home game at Bradford Ice Rink

WARM WELCOME: Landlord Dan Horsman behind the bar at Jacobs Well - on board as a sponsor for the next two seasons.

It is one of Bradford’s oldest beerhouses, dating back to 1830 and serves a great selection of real ales, local craft beers, specialist gins, whiskeys and traditional ciders - there are also THREE guest ales that change EVERY week.

Landlord Dan said he was keen to build a closer relationship with the Bulldogs, who will be decamping to the pub after games on a number of occasions throughout the season.

“Since our first visit to a game at the back end of the 2023-24 season, we’ve been hooked on Bulldogs hockey,” said Dan.

“We love the atmosphere at The Pound and after sponsoring several games throughout last season, we wanted to do even more to support the club over the next two years.

“The club and the rink has a great family feel about it and we are looking forward to seeing the Bulldogs have a great season on the ice and make the play-offs - as well as celebrate some wins back at Jacobs Well as often as possible.”

Bulldogs’ NIHL player-coach Dave Williams added: “It’s great to have Jacobs Well on board in a permanent arrangement.

“We’ve already benefitted from their willingness to support the team through match sponsorships and are grateful for their extended support over the next couple of years.

“We look forward to seeing Dan and his staff and customers at The Pound on a regular basis next season, as well as being able to toast a few wins at Jacobs Well!”
