Dave Williams back as Bulldogs player-coach for 2026-27 NIHL North Two season
WE GO AGAIN: Bradford Bulldogs’ player-coach, Dave Williams.
BRADFORD BULLDOGS are delighted to confirm that Dave Williams is back for the 2026-27 NIHL North Two season as player-coach.
Dave stepped up to take over from long-serving predecessor Andy Brown last summer and, despite a tough campaign which saw the Bulldogs miss out on the play-offs on the last day of the regular season, there were plenty of lessons learned.
Dave has been busy during the off-season casting his eye over potential roster additions, as well as deciding which players from last season will return.
There is also a new coaching team that has been formed for the Bulldogs for the new season, more details of which we will announce VERY soon!
On his return for a second season at the helm, Dave said: “I am looking forward to building on what we started last season. The foundations are already in place and there are a lot of positives we can take. We’ve made some additions to both the squad and coaching setup and I’m excited about what this will bring to the team.
“No one is more disappointed than me with how last season ended as we didn’t fulfil the potential this team has.
“However, I am confident that the lessons we learned can be carried forward and that we’ll come back stronger and be more competitive this season.”
