THE BULLDOGS are delighted to confirm the return of forward Ollie Massey for a third season of NIHL North Two hockey.

The 19-year-old has blossomed since first stepping up to senior hockey with the Bulldogs back in 2023-24, last season providing further proof of what he can offer the team going forward and a guy who we hope is part of the team for many years to come.

Once player-coach Dave Williams made it clear the right-hander was part of his plans for the 2025-26 campaign, Ollie has been counting down the days to the season opener at home against the Altrincham Aces on Sunday, September 7.

“When Dave asked me to re-sign and told me about the plans for the season, there was no doubt in my mind where I was going to play hockey this year,” said Ollie.

“I am now looking forward to getting back on the ice with the lads in a competitive environment and proving to people that we deserve to be in the play-offs this time around.”

Dave added: “Ollie played an important part in the team last year. He worked hard on and off the ice to improve his game to the benefit of the team.

“He has a great attitude and wants to do his very best every time he steps on the ice. I know he will continue to work hard this year and I am looking forward to watching his development continue with us.”
